Hello, my name is Jaquetta Phillips. I am currently a senior at Coppin State University and plan to graduate in May 2008. I couldn't imagine doing anything other than nursing. The field has a uniqueness all its own. Besides helping people and giving back to the community, the diversity within the field is something that can't be matched by any other profession. My journey into nursing has lead me to meet some wonderful and interesting people and has afforded me the opportunity to serve on the MANS board which has been a blessing since the day I was voted into office.

As Community Health Chair I plan to provide, as well as inform Maryland nursing students of the opportunities available for service in their local and neighboring communities. Currently I work in the Emergency Department at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Upon graduation I plan to stay in community health.

Serving on the MANS board has been a wonderful opportunity and one that I am truly grateful for having. Please don’t hesitate to send me an email if you want to advertise or know of opportunities that you would like MANS to participate in.
