TreasurerShahde Graham-Coke Bowie State University
I am very excited and pleased to be on the Board for Maryland Association of Nursing Students. As the treasurer, I plan to keep the budget in an organized form and plan to be a tremendous asset in the planning of the Maryland Annual Convention. Becoming a member of NSNA, was my first step to showing my passion in the nursing profession. After attending my first board meeting, I knew instantly that I wanted to be on the board.
I am currently a Junior studying nursing at Bowie State University . At Bowie State I am the current Junior Nursing Curriculum Representative for the Class of 2009. I am also an active member of the Student Nursing Association on campus. My strong interest in nursing has led me to join the Lambda Phi Beta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc. The sorority is a professional association for registered and student nurses who represent many cultures and diverse ethnic backgrounds.
I am grateful to the current members of MANS, as well as those who have come before me for the opportunity to hold the position as treasurer. I’m looking forward to networking with other student nurses and other people in the health professions.
